This Privacy Policy explains what information NewzGrade (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using NewzGrade you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (or, for social sign-in, the profile your provider shares).
- Content you create: grades, comments, replies, submitted articles, likes, and reports.
- Preferences: followed categories, default view, and notification settings.
- Usage data: basic interaction data such as article views and clicks used to improve the Service.
2. How we use it
To operate and improve NewzGrade, compute community grades, personalize your feed, send transactional and (opt-in) notification emails, keep the community safe through moderation and reporting, and process subscriptions.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run NewzGrade — for example email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe), and AI processing — strictly to provide the Service. Your public activity (name, grades, comments) is visible to other members.
4. Your choices
You can edit your preferences, turn off notification emails, block other users, and request account deletion at any time via the Contact page.
5. Data retention & security
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Passwords are hashed and access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
6. Children
NewzGrade is not intended for anyone under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 17.
